Hundreds of Jewish pilgrims residing in the Kingdom and abroad, is
are given appointments in the region Moualine Dad, located 40 km from Settat,
to celebrate the hiloula Rabbi Abraham Aouriour and live
moments of prayer, piety and contemplation

Thus, on this occasion, in the rural commune of Sidi Mohamed Ben
Rahal, within the province of Settat, a ceremony was held,
Sunday, and attended by the Wali of the particular region
Chaouia-Kaap, governor of the province of Settat, Yazid Mohamed El Zellou,
several elected officials and prominent civilian and military, along with a large
number of members of the Jewish community.
This pilgrimage, several participants noted, is a place of tolerance and
provides an opportunity for members of the Moroccan Jewish community to
meet and reaffirm their sense of belonging to Morocco, land of
peace and stability.
After this ceremony, prayers were raised by the audience,
imploring the Almighty to protect His Majesty King Mohammed VI and bridge the
Sovereign in the person of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and
all members of the illustrious Royal Family.

Through the efforts of the Governor, the roads are rebuilt every
year after the rainy season. A smooth
pilgrimage is done through the means used by
autor i ties whom we thank.

It is impressive that this custom is still perpetuated
today, where the community has only 2500 inhabitants
knowing that in 1956 there were 250,000 Jews in Morocco.
